CENTRALIZED IDENTIFICATION

Identification at the University of Liège is linked to an identifier (Uxxxxxx) and a password.
Identification is necessary to access all services reserved for university staff.

If you are a new staff member you must request your identifier and password
This information will be sent to you through the internal mail at the University of Liège.

UNIVERSITY EMAIL ADDRESS

As a staff member, you can have a "uliege" email address (example: jdupont@uliege.be)
Using this email address requires multi-factor authentication. (Microsoft Authenticator or TOTP software)

MULTI-FACTOR AUTHENTICATION (MFA) or

Multi-factor authentication (MFA) will be required to access certain University of Liège services:

1. Email service
2. Connection to the University of Liège VPN
3. Access to the faculty intranet
4. Free access to Microsoft Office suite

3. To connect to Wi-Fi when you are at another university: the Eduroam service is available at various universities in more than fifty countries.

YOUR WEB PRESENCE

When you join the university, you are included in the staff directory.

Each research unit has a specific website that is not managed by the UDI.
Contact your director for more details on updates.

• Edit your directory page.
• Your publications visible in the directory via ORBI.

ACCESS TO BIBLIOGRAPHIC DATABASES

• You have direct access to bibliographic databases to which the university has subscribed from a computer connected to the campus.
• You must use a VPN connection from another network (home or other institution).
• A database of tests is also available at the faculty. These tests are available from the test library.

MICROSOFT OFFICE

Microsoft Office 365 is available for free in these two versions:

1. The Web version usable by all staff members.
2. The desktop applications version usable only by staff members whose salary is paid by the university.

FILE SHARING AND STORAGE

1. The faculty's file sharing system allows you to create web sharing pages. This system has been specially designed to facilitate cooperative work with your contacts outside of the University of Liège (see the Faculty Intranet).
2. The DOX service: A sharing solution offered by the university that meets GDPR requirements ( => SEGI website).
3. Microsoft OneDrive: storage space on the Microsoft cloud ( => SEGI website).

RESEARCH-EXPERIMENTATION

• Matlab and its psychtoolbox can be used since we have a matlab license. Additionally, some e-prime licenses are available in the departments.
• Online surveys and tests : we offer an environment on our secure servers.
